How do I get the process started, if I am interested in Long Term Care?
Typically Heather will conduct a short phone interview with you, inquiring about some basic information needed in order to proceed with an appointment regarding Long Term Care.

Will I have to schedule an appointment with Heather right away?
Once a qualified  basis is established, a one hour appointment will be set. The purpose of this meeting is to get to know the individual and to go over some Long Term Care options with the prospective client.

What if I decide I want to go ahead and apply for Long Term Care, how quickly does the process work?
At this point, we may fill out and submit an application to the insurance company. The process can take anywhere from 30-60 days, just depending on the types of information the company needs and how cooperative the prospective client is.

Should I speak to my children about Long Term Care?
Absolutely! Your children age 40+ can purchase Long Term Care while their own health is great, which will allow them lower premiums. They can age gracefully, not having to worry about the rising health care costs.

How do I know that I'll need Long Term Care?
Great question! Since no one has a crystal ball, the most loving and responsible route to go for Long Term Care needs is to have something lined up. This will ensure that you do not have to live with adult children or go into a facility that is less desirable than you might prefer. According the the US Department of Health and Human Services, about 70% of individuals over age 65 will require at least some type of long term care services during their lifetimes.

Do I have to have perfect health history to qualify for Long Term Care?
Part of the application process is for the Insurance company to request medical records. We will go through some general questions prior to our first appointment to ensure that the application process is not a waste of your time.
